As girl scouts we were taught that community pride is very important and doing your part to make a difference no matter how small, counts! Plus working as a team helped to build our friendships and it's always more fun working on a project with other people. Thank you for taking the time to watch our video! The best residential pumpkin sculpture will win a Trick-or Treat Basket of Holiday Goodies and the Great Pumpkin Trophy will be awarded to the winning Newark Business. From October 25th to October 29th, sculptures will be placed in front yards of homes and outside of businesses for all to see!

The Village of Newark is excited to announce it has advanced as a finalist to the next round of New York State’s Downtown Revitalization Initiative (DRI), a statewide competition in which communities in each of the state’s 10 Regional Economic Development Council’s will compete to receive awards of ten-to-twenty million dollars in State funding for local development. Since the volunteers in the Village of Newark go above and beyond, the Mayor has declared November 1, 2021, "Extra Mile Day".
